Cora Health review

Flat price, named pharmacies

A cash-pay telehealth platform selling compounded semaglutide from $175 a month and tirzepatide from $225 month to month, cheaper on longer plans, with the same price at every dose.

Our verdict

Cora Health makes its pricing easy to read. Every plan length is on one page, and the price includes the consultation, medication, expedited shipping and ongoing support, with no membership and no increase as your dose goes up. Month to month, compounded semaglutide is $175 and compounded tirzepatide is $225; committing to a year brings those down to $99 and $135 a month, billed upfront. It names both of its compounding pharmacies and the physician group that prescribes, which many compounded sellers won't do, and it displays a LegitScript seal. The model is fully asynchronous, so there's no video visit unless your provider asks for one. The main catch is on long plans: if you cancel an annual or semi-annual plan early, the doses you've received are repriced at the quarterly rate, and because medication ships in three-month batches, your refund may be small or nothing.

What it is

Cora Health is a telehealth platform that connects patients with an independent physician group for compounded GLP-1 treatment. It doesn't prescribe medication itself. Medical care comes from Wasef Health, PC, based in Pinellas Park, Florida, whose group medical director is Dr. David Wasef, a board-certified internist; the site lists four other network physicians by name. Prescriptions are filled by one of two 503A compounding pharmacies, Hallandale Pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale, which is PCAB-accredited and has operated since 2003, or VialsRx, and each patient's label names the pharmacy that filled it. Cora serves all 50 states and is for adults 18 and over. Its terms are governed by Delaware law, and disputes go to individual arbitration through the American Arbitration Association, held in the county where you live. Support is by email, phone and round-the-clock messaging. A peptide line is listed as coming soon.

How it works

You start with a health questionnaire that takes about five minutes. A licensed provider from Wasef Health reviews it, usually within 24 hours, and the company says 95% of approved patients are prescribed within that window. If treatment is appropriate, the prescription goes to a partner pharmacy, and medication ships free with expedited delivery; most packages arrive within three days of leaving the pharmacy, or three to five days from order. After that you message your care team through the patient portal at any time, and providers monitor your progress and adjust your dose. If you already take a GLP-1, you'll need a photo of your prescription or label and details of your last dose; your provider decides the starting dose, and Cora says plainly that brand-name and compounded doses aren't interchangeable. Diet and workout plans are included, and a broader lifestyle program is due to be added at no extra charge.

Pricing transparency

Compounded semaglutide is $175 a month billed monthly, $145 a month on a quarterly plan ($435 every three months), $120 a month on a semi-annual plan ($720) and $99 a month on an annual plan ($1,188). Compounded tirzepatide is $225 a month billed monthly, $199 quarterly ($597), $175 semi-annually ($1,050) and $135 annually ($1,620). Every price includes the consultation, medication, expedited shipping, provider monitoring and support, and is the same at every dose. A first-month code takes $15 off. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel or pause through the portal or by email; a monthly plan stays active to the end of the month. Quarterly plans ship as one three-month supply and aren't refundable once prepared. If you leave a semi-annual or annual plan early, the doses you've received are billed at the quarterly rate and the rest is refunded, which may be nothing late in the plan. You get a full refund if you cancel before the first shipment is prepared or aren't approved. HSA and FSA cards, Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay are accepted; insurance isn't.

Branded vs compounded

Cora prescribes only compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, as weekly injections. It says clearly that compounded medications are not FDA-approved, haven't been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or manufacturing quality, and aren't therapeutically equivalent to Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound. The weight-loss figures on its about page, 14.9% at 68 weeks for semaglutide and 22.5% at 72 weeks for tirzepatide, come from trials of the branded drugs, and the page notes that compounded versions haven't been tested in trials. Both pharmacies are described as following USP 797 sterile compounding standards. Brand-name medication isn't offered. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under Cora Health and its site name found no letters to the company. The site displays a LegitScript seal.

Frequently asked

How much does Cora Health cost?
Month to month, compounded semaglutide is $175 and compounded tirzepatide is $225. Longer plans lower the monthly cost, down to $99 and $135 a month on an annual plan billed upfront.
Does the price go up as my dose increases?
No. Every plan has the same price at every dose, and it includes the consultation, medication, shipping and support.
Which pharmacies fill Cora's prescriptions?
Hallandale Pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, or VialsRx, both 503A compounding pharmacies. Your medication label shows which one filled it.
Can I cancel Cora Health?
Yes, any time, through the patient portal or by email, and you can pause instead. Leaving a semi-annual or annual plan early reprices the doses you've received at the quarterly rate.
Who are Cora Health's doctors?
Care comes from Wasef Health, PC, an independent physician group in Florida led by Dr. David Wasef. Cora itself doesn't prescribe.
Is Cora Health legit?
Cora Health is a GLP-1 telehealth service you reach through an online questionnaire and an online intake a clinician reviews. The medications it names are Compounded semaglutide and Compounded tirzepatide. Its stated availability: All 50 states. What it publishes up front: Compounded semaglutide $175/mo month to month ($99/mo on annual), tirzepatide $225/mo ($135/mo on annual); medication and shipping included, same price at every dose. It is cash-pay and states it does not bill insurance. It shows a LegitScript seal. Ask the company for its certificate number before you rely on it. Those are the provider's own published claims rather than checks we could run ourselves, so get the ones that matter to you confirmed in writing before you pay.
Is Cora Health expensive compared with other GLP-1 telehealth providers?
Cora Health publishes a starting figure of $175/mo. Across the 92 GLP-1 telehealth providers we review that publish a single monthly figure, those run $49 to $399 with a median of $190, which puts Cora Health below the median, toward the cheaper end. The other 122 GLP-1 telehealth providers we review quote only after an intake or price by dose, so they are not in that comparison. A starting figure is not a bill — labs, consultations and shipping are often charged separately, so confirm what your own quote includes.
