DreamHug Medical review

Pay once, nothing renews

A Florida telehealth brand selling compounded semaglutide injections and tablets and compounded tirzepatide injections as one-time plans, with one price at every dose and no subscription.

Our verdict

DreamHug Medical is built around one idea: no subscription. You buy a one-, three-, six- or twelve-month plan, pay once, and nothing renews unless you order again. One month of compounded semaglutide, as an injection or a daily tablet, is $179, and a year works out to $69 a month; tirzepatide is $199 for one month and $99 a month on a year's plan. The price covers the provider review, medication, supplies, dose changes and shipping, and it stays the same at every dose. It names its pharmacy, Belmar Pharmacy in Arizona, and lists all 50 states. The trust signals are thin, though. It doesn't name the medical group whose providers prescribe, a second semaglutide listing on the same site carries a different price, a "today only" sale countdown shows its regular plan prices, and the testimonials on its homepage are labeled as placeholders rather than real patient reviews. You also pay before a provider reviews you, and refunds stop once the pharmacy has your order.

What it is

DreamHug Medical is a telehealth platform whose terms say the site is operated by DreamHug, a division of Ashley Bridget LLC. Its listed address is in Pompano Beach, Florida, and support is by phone or email. It says it is not a pharmacy and doesn't compound medication: prescriptions are written by independent licensed providers and filled by Belmar Pharmacy, a 503A compounding pharmacy in Youngtown, Arizona, which ships directly to you. Its state page lists all 50 states, with service limited to people physically located in and shipping to one of them, though the product FAQs suggest calling to confirm availability before you order. Besides GLP-1s, it sells naltrexone tablets for alcohol recovery. You must be 18 or older. The site doesn't name the medical group or practice behind its providers.

How it works

The order comes first. You pick a medication and plan length, check out, and give a few details such as your date of birth so a consultation can be set up. A U.S.-licensed provider then reviews your health history, decides whether the medication is appropriate, and if so writes the prescription and sets your starting dose. If you're new to GLP-1s, you start at an introductory dose and step up; if you're already taking one, the provider can continue your current dose or move you to the next. Medication ships from the pharmacy with tracking. Injection kits include the vial, syringes, alcohol swabs and instructions; tablets come as a bottle taken once a day on an empty stomach. Multi-month plans ship on a schedule set with your provider. A care team answers questions about dosing, side effects and progress by phone or email. When a plan ends, you place a new order and complete a new medical evaluation for your refill.

Pricing transparency

Semaglutide injections and tablets share one price list: $179 for one month, $387 for three months ($129 a month), $594 for six ($99 a month) or $828 for twelve ($69 a month). Tirzepatide injections are $199 for one month, $477 for three ($159 a month), $834 for six ($139 a month) or $1,188 for twelve ($99 a month). Each plan is charged once, never renews, and includes the provider review, medication, supplies, dose adjustments, care-team support and free shipping, with no membership and the same price at any dose; taxes, if any, appear at checkout. One caution: the site's full product list also shows a separate semaglutide listing at $188 for one month and tirzepatide at $238, so make sure the price at checkout matches the plan you chose. Refunds are possible only before the medication is ordered or dispensed; once the pharmacy has it, there's no refund. HSA and FSA cards can usually be used, and insurance isn't billed.

Branded vs compounded

DreamHug prescribes compounded semaglutide as a weekly injection or a once-daily tablet, and compounded tirzepatide as a weekly injection, all prepared by Belmar Pharmacy for each patient. Its FAQs say clearly that compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA hasn't reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. The compounded tablets are not the FDA-approved Wegovy pill or Rybelsus, and oral semaglutide is dosed differently from the injection because much less of it is absorbed. The homepage figures of 15% to 20% weight loss come from trials of the branded injections. Brand-name drugs aren't offered. The site says it is LegitScript certified and links to LegitScript's lookup page, but no seal appears on the site, and a search of the FDA warning-letter database under DreamHug, its site name and Ashley Bridget returned no letters.
