Recovery Delivered review
Live video visits, dose-priced
An online addiction-care service that also prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, with a monthly video visit and a price for every dose.
Our verdict
Recovery Delivered is primarily an online Suboxone clinic, and weight loss is a side line, but the GLP-1 program has two things going for it. Every month you see a licensed provider on live video rather than filling in a form, and the price for every dose is printed up front: compounded semaglutide is $199.99 a month for the first three months, and compounded tirzepatide starts at $219.99, with the visit, medication and overnight shipping included. That's competitive at starting doses, though semaglutide climbs to $299.99 and tirzepatide to $489.99 at the top. The drawbacks are real. It doesn't name its pharmacy, its marketing quotes three different starting prices, its terms of service describe only addiction treatment, and some copy makes claims about "pure" semaglutide from the manufacturer that you should question before you buy.

Recovery Delivered is run by Tara Healthcare LLC, which describes itself as a technology platform connecting patients with licensed providers in their state; its terms give a notice address at 242 Linden Street in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was founded to treat opioid use disorder online, and Suboxone care at $89 a month remains its main business, with a site built mostly around addiction treatment. Its weight-loss pages are written by a co-founder who has worked in addiction care for more than 12 years. Providers are independent clinicians contracted through its health record system, not Tara employees, and the company says they hold active state and DEA licenses. GLP-1 care isn't available in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee or Wisconsin, which leaves 31 states and D.C.
How it works
You fill in a short online form to check eligibility, which generally means a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition, and you pay only once you're approved. Then you meet a licensed provider on a live video visit; the company stresses that follow-ups are face to face on screen, not chatbots or email. If treatment is right for you, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy ships the medication and supplies overnight, packed cold. Each month you have another video visit to review side effects and adjust the dose. Its terms say you may be charged up to the full cost if you cancel an appointment within 24 hours, that fees may go up, and that disputes go to individual arbitration, though you can opt out by email within 30 days of accepting.
Pricing transparency
Compounded semaglutide injections are priced by stage: $199.99 a month for months one to three, $229.99 in month four and $299.99 from month five, as the weekly dose rises. Compounded tirzepatide is priced by dose: $219.99 a month at 2.5 mg, $299.99 at 5 mg, $349.99 at 7.5 mg, $399.99 at 10 mg and $489.99 at 12.5 or 15 mg. Each price includes the video visit, medication, injection supplies and shipping, with no separate membership. Oral semaglutide, as drops or tablets, is $249 a month. Be aware that other lines on its pages advertise starting prices of $179 and $199, and one quotes tirzepatide at $249, so rely on the dose tables. The site doesn't spell out billing frequency, cancellation or refunds for the weight program, and its terms of service only describe addiction treatment, so ask how billing and stopping work before you start. No insurance is needed.
Branded vs compounded
The program prescribes compounded semaglutide by injection, compounded tirzepatide by injection, and oral semaglutide drops or tablets. Its tirzepatide pages are careful, saying the drug isn't FDA-approved, isn't the same product as Zepbound and can't be assumed to work the same. Its semaglutide pages are not. They describe "pure semaglutide" with "no fillers" sourced directly from the manufacturer at a compounded price, and call compounded versions generic. Brand-name semaglutide is sold only as Wegovy, Ozempic and Rybelsus, compounded products are not generics, and the company's own price tables label the injections as compounded, so treat those claims with caution and ask which pharmacy prepares your medication. The site shows a LegitScript seal script, but its seal number didn't resolve, so check LegitScript directly. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under the Recovery Delivered and Tara Healthcare names returned no letters.

Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who wants a named pharmacy and written refund terms, or lives in one of the 19 states it doesn't serve for GLP-1s.
The evidence behind what Recovery Delivered prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- What the semaglutide weight-loss trials actually showed
STEP 1, STEP 4, and SELECT — the efficacy, the rebound, and the cardiovascular signal, read straight from the primary literature.
- Tirzepatide vs semaglutide for weight loss: what the trials actually support
Most comparisons are cross-trial. Only SURPASS-2 and SURMOUNT-5 randomized one drug against the other — here's the precise distinction.
- GLP-1 pill vs injection: what you trade for swallowing it
Oral semaglutide 50 mg matched the injection to within 0.2 of a percentage point — but not at the approved dose, and the daily fasting protocol is the cost nobody mentions.
