trü Weight Loss review

By Aminoscope editorial desk · Aminoscope

Three-month commitment

Our verdict

trü Weight Loss is truHealthNow's physician-directed weight program. It publishes monthly semaglutide and tirzepatide package prices and a three-month minimum, while leaving payment timing, prescription supply and fulfillment details unclear.

Main trade-offs

  • Prepayment and early-exit refunds unclear
  • Weight-delivery claim conflicts with general pharmacy notice

Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. A licensed clinician must assess whether treatment is appropriate; availability does not establish safety or benefit.

Our review in detail

Full assessment

The two package amounts are easier to compare than an unqualified starting price, but the three-month commitment is material. Confirm the actual medication, weight-program shipping path, first debit and handling of early intolerance before signing up.

What it is

trü Weight Loss is presented within truHealthNow's broader medical business. Its weight page describes an initial telehealth consultation with a physician, monthly physician supervision and nutrition support. A physician is quoted on the page, but that quote does not identify who would treat an individual patient.

The site lists clinics in Maryland and Virginia; it does not publish a state list for remote weight prescribing. General urgent or primary-care prices and insurance arrangements are separate from this weight package.

How care works

The weight page advertises an initial screening, lab work, physician check-ins, nutrition guidance, meal planning and prescription renewal. It calls these initial services free or included, without specifying the lab panel, visit count beyond monthly supervision or any charge for optional wellness services.

The weight page also advertises medication delivery. A separate truHealthNow page says its general virtual pharmacy delivery program is not live yet. It is unclear whether that notice applies to GLP-1 fulfillment, so confirm how and where an approved weight prescription would actually be supplied. No nationwide shipment promise follows from either page.

Costs, billing and cancellation

The weight FAQ lists $299 per month for a semaglutide package and $399 per month for a tirzepatide package. Each is described as including medication, monthly physician supervision and nutrition support. A three-month subscription is required before cancellation at any time; early exit is described for patients who cannot tolerate medication.

At unchanged monthly prices, three months would total $897 for semaglutide or $1,197 for tirzepatide. The site does not say whether that minimum is prepaid, billed in monthly installments or adjusted after an early intolerance stop. It also does not publish the refund calculation or exact cancellation deadline. Ask for those terms in writing before authorizing payment.

The weight FAQ says the program does not accept insurance or HSA/FSA cards. Broader truHealthNow materials discuss insurance and savings accounts for other care, which should not be applied to this package.

Medication and evidence

The weight page offers semaglutide and tirzepatide and says its medications come from US-licensed compounding pharmacies. It does not name or independently verify those pharmacies or specify the formulation, route, concentration, dose or quantity in each shipment. References to Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro explain active ingredients; they do not establish that those branded products are supplied.
