Neither has a trial supporting the general 'adaptogen' framing both are marketed under.

You're untrained or older and specifically want the aerobic-capacity angle — it won't do much if you're already fit.

Rhodiola Rosea fits if

Acute stress-related fatigue or mental performance under pressure is the target, understanding the trial quality is modest.
