Go Vida Plena review

Spanish-language GLP-1 care

A Spanish-language GLP-1 program for Latino patients, with nutrition guidance built around Latin American food, compounded injections or oral options, and one-time payments that never renew.

Our verdict

Go Vida Plena is built for Spanish speakers. The site, patient support and nutrition guidance are in Spanish, and the meal advice is built around Latin American food rather than asking you to give it up. It offers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as injections or oral formulations, names its physicians and six pharmacies, and displays a LegitScript seal. Its billing is unusually simple: every plan is a single payment for one, three, six or 12 months, with no automatic renewal. Month to month, injectable semaglutide is $269 against a stated regular price of $299, and tirzepatide is $349 to $359, while a 12-month prepay brings semaglutide down to $179 a month. The cautions: unused months aren't refunded, and the site says every dose is included while its FAQ says price can change with dose.

What it is

Go Vida Plena is the trade name of Clínica Vida Plena, based in Hyde Park, Utah. It runs a medical weight-loss program for Latino patients that combines a medical evaluation, GLP-1 treatment when appropriate, and nutrition coaching that respects Latin American food and family routines. Clinical care is coordinated through CareValidate, a telehealth platform that verifies each provider's license for the patient's state; the physicians are from Lion MD, led by Dr. Ana Lisa Carr and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink. Go Vida Plena handles access and administration and says it doesn't direct medical decisions. It lists six pharmacies that may fill prescriptions: Belmar Pharmacy, Strive Pharmacy, Epiq Scripts, Casa Pharma Rx, The Pharmacy Hub and Foothills Pharmacy. Its FAQ says it serves patients in all 50 states, with some services varying by state. The site is in Spanish, and support is by phone or email, with replies within one business day.

How it works

You start with a free online evaluation, with no obligation, that checks whether you qualify. The FAQ says the visit with the doctor is by video call, and the terms note that real-time audio and video may be required unless state law allows otherwise. A licensed provider decides whether a GLP-1 is appropriate and which one, injectable or oral. If you're prescribed, CareValidate sends the prescription to a participating pharmacy, and medication usually arrives in three to seven business days in discreet packaging, with a tracking number by email. After that, the program includes ongoing medical follow-up, a patient portal available 24 hours a day for messages and information, and nutrition support built around Latin American dishes. The site also publishes Spanish-language guidance on side effects and on when to seek urgent care. Adults 18 and older are eligible, generally with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition.

Pricing transparency

Each medication has four plan lengths, all paid once with no automatic renewal, and the price table says every dose level is included. Compounded injectable semaglutide is $269 for one month, shown against a regular price of $299; $657 for three months ($219 a month); $1,194 for six months ($199); or $2,148 for 12 months ($179). Compounded oral semaglutide is $299 for one month, then $259, $239 or $209 a month on longer plans. Compounded oral tirzepatide is $349 for one month (regularly $399), and injectable tirzepatide is $359 (regularly $399); both are $309, $289 or $269 a month on three, six or 12 months. Every plan includes the evaluation, a personalized plan, shipping of the medication, follow-up, nutrition support and the patient portal. The FAQ says the cost can vary with the medication and dose and that you'll be told before any change, so confirm that your price holds as your dose rises. You aren't charged if you don't qualify. Unused time on a plan isn't refunded or prorated once it has started. Afterpay and Klarna are offered; insurance isn't.

Branded vs compounded

Go Vida Plena offers compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each as a weekly injection or an oral formulation. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, aren't FDA-approved generics, and shouldn't be treated as identical to brand-name drugs; the site says this clearly in Spanish. The oral versions differ from the FDA-approved semaglutide tablets, and evidence for compounded oral GLP-1s is thin. Brand-name Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro aren't offered. Which of the six listed pharmacies fills your order can vary by state and availability. The site displays a LegitScript seal. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under the company's name, its web address and CareValidate returned no letters.
