MyStart Health review

Bundled price, little detail

A telehealth platform selling compounded GLP-1 injections in a bundled program from $299 a month with labs and a price lock, and an FDA warning letter from September 2025.

Our verdict

MyStart Health sells one idea: a single monthly price that covers almost everything. From $299 a month before discounts, the program bundles provider visits, unlimited clinician messaging, the prescription, a four- or twelve-week supply of compounded medication, any blood work you need and shipping, and a price lock promises your rate won't rise as your dose does. The weakness is how little you see before you pay. The site doesn't show which medication or plan the $299 refers to, or what the twelve-week plan costs, and the pharmacies and provider groups are described only as independent and licensed. Its refund terms are firm once medication ships or a membership month begins. The FDA also sent it a warning letter in September 2025 over calling its compounded semaglutide "Generic Ozempic". If an all-in bundle with labs appeals and you're happy to see the final price at checkout, it's a reasonable option; buyers who compare line by line will find more detail elsewhere.

What it is

MyStart Health LLC is a technology platform with a mailing address in Newark, Delaware. It says plainly that it doesn't provide medical care, make treatment decisions or dispense medication: licensed providers in an affiliated telehealth network do the prescribing, and independent licensed compounding pharmacies, operating under Section 503A, fill the prescriptions, sometimes with the MyStart name on the packaging. The site names Dr. Ritu Chopra, a Beverly Hills physician, as its chief medical advisor, and says its network includes more than 600 U.S. board-certified doctors with round-the-clock access. It's cash-only and takes credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard, not insurance. Support runs by phone and email weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern. The site's outcome figures come from a survey of 16 customers, which it labels as not typical.

How it works

You take a health quiz the site says takes five minutes or less, place your order, then log in to complete a full medical intake. A licensed clinician reviews it and either prescribes within 24 hours or books a video consultation, and same-day video visits are available when needed; the legal disclosure says a telehealth consultation is required after checkout before anything is prescribed. Once a prescription is written, the pharmacy ships it within two to four business days. Follow-ups are recommended monthly until you reach a steady dose, then every three months, and you report your weight at check-ins every three to four weeks. The FAQ covers the usual side effects and says your provider can prescribe something to manage nausea. Most patients inject from a vial with a syringe, and the help pages include a guide to injecting compounded tirzepatide.

Pricing transparency

The FAQ puts the program at "$299/month, excluding any discounts", covering physician evaluations, follow-ups, unlimited clinician access, monthly prescriptions, a four-week or twelve-week supply of medication depending on your plan, any necessary blood work and shipping, with no membership fee or hidden charges. A banner was advertising $150 off plus a lifetime 25% discount. The site doesn't break the price down by medication or say what the twelve-week plan costs, so check both at checkout. A price lock guarantees the price of medication and care won't rise from your base plan, even as your dose increases, though first-time discounts don't carry over. You pay after the pre-qualification quiz and before the medical review; if a provider finds you ineligible, you're refunded in full, usually within 24 to 48 hours. The refund policy describes a membership charged monthly. You can cancel any time by emailing or calling, and you're refunded if you cancel before the pharmacy processes and ships your order, but nothing is refunded once medication ships, once a prescription has been written, or for a membership period already started, and medication can't be returned.

Branded vs compounded

Every medication here is compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy, and the site states that these aren't FDA-approved and haven't been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy or manufacturing quality. Its pages mention compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, given as weekly injections from a vial; the FAQ notes GLP-1s also come as oral forms but doesn't list an oral product. Brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound aren't offered. In September 2025 the FDA sent MyStart Health a warning letter after reviewing its website in August 2025. The agency objected to the phrases "Generic Ozempic" and "Save with generics that offer the same active ingredients and results", saying they implied its compounded semaglutide was the same as an FDA-approved drug, which made the products misbranded.

FDA warning letter on record

The FDA issued a warning letter naming MyStart Health LLC, the company behind MyStart Health.

We publish this because it is a matter of public record and a reader weighing this provider should have it. A warning letter is the FDA setting out alleged violations; it is not a court finding, and a company may have responded or corrected since. It does not remove MyStart Health from this site, and it does not change our verdict — read the letter and decide for yourself.

Frequently asked

How much does MyStart Health cost?
Its FAQ says the program starts at $299 a month before discounts, covering provider visits, clinician access, medication, any needed blood work and shipping. The exact price for your medication and plan length appears at checkout.
Does the price go up when my dose increases?
No. MyStart Health's price lock says the cost of medication and care stays at your base plan amount as your dose rises, though first-time discounts don't carry over.
Has MyStart Health received an FDA warning letter?
Yes. In September 2025 the FDA objected to website wording that called its compounded semaglutide "Generic Ozempic" and said it offered the same ingredients and results as brand-name drugs. The letter is linked from this review.
Can I cancel MyStart Health?
Yes, any time by email or phone. You're refunded if you cancel before your order ships, but not once medication has shipped, a prescription has been written, or a membership month has started.
Does MyStart Health take insurance?
No. It's cash-only and accepts credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.
Is MyStart Health legit?
FDA has a warning letter on record against MyStart Health LLC, the company behind MyStart Health, issued September 9, 2025 as letter 714755; it is linked further down this page. A warning letter is a public record worth reading. It doesn't by itself mean you can't use this provider. MyStart Health is a GLP-1 telehealth service you reach through an online questionnaire, an online intake a clinician reviews and a video visit with a clinician. The medications it names are Compounded semaglutide and Compounded tirzepatide. What it publishes up front: Program from $299/mo before discounts (visits, labs, medication, shipping included); per-plan prices shown at checkout. It is cash-pay and states it does not bill insurance. Before you pay, ask in writing about which states it serves and a single monthly price you can check before an intake.
