Actin review
Flat price, no membership
A cash-pay telehealth service selling compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide at one flat price per dose level, with cheaper three- and six-month plans and no membership fee.
Our verdict
Actin keeps the buying decision simple. Compounded semaglutide is $169 a month on its most flexible plan and compounded tirzepatide is $269, each with the clinician review, messaging, supplies and shipping included and no separate membership. It says the price stays the same as your dose rises, which matters because many programs charge more at higher doses. Committing to three or six months brings the monthly cost down to as little as $116 for semaglutide and $166 for tirzepatide. The process is fully asynchronous: an online questionnaire, a same-day provider review and messaging through the portal, with no scheduled video visit. It names the pharmacies that fill its prescriptions, which helps if you want to check them. The gaps are a missing refund policy, a help-center price that doesn't match the product page, and no list of the states where each treatment is available.

Actin is a Miami-based telehealth company. Its terms are an agreement with Actin Telehealth, Inc., doing business as Actin Health, at 2665 South Bayshore Drive. Actin itself is a technology platform, not a medical practice or a pharmacy: medical services come from Beluga Health, P.A., a Houston-based medical group, and prescriptions are filled by The Pharmacy Hub in Miami Gardens, Florida, GreenwichRX in Tomball, Texas, and Hallandale Pharmacy in Fort Lauderdale. Besides weight loss, Actin sells NAD⁺, sermorelin, glutathione and B12 injections, hormone therapy for women and sexual-performance treatment for men. It's for adults 18 and over, ships to most U.S. states, and notes state restrictions for some treatments at checkout. Disputes go to individual arbitration under its terms.
How it works
You start with a questionnaire that takes about five minutes and place your order. A licensed provider from the medical group reviews your answers, usually the same day, and decides whether a GLP-1 is appropriate; its eligibility guidance follows the usual thresholds of a BMI of 30, or 27 with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure. If you're approved, the prescription goes to a partner pharmacy, and most orders ship within two to three business days, in plain packaging with no signature needed. After that you message your provider through the patient portal, and a care team is available around the clock for non-clinical help. Dose adjustments are included. Refills are scheduled automatically about a week before your supply runs out, and you can pause, skip or cancel a shipment from the Treatments section of your account before the cutoff.
Pricing transparency
Each medication has three plan lengths, shown side by side on the product page. Compounded semaglutide with B12 is $169 a month on the one-month plan, $143 a month on the three-month plan and $116 a month on the six-month plan. Compounded tirzepatide, with B12 or glycine, is $269, $209 or $166 a month. A semaglutide microdose plan for people at lower BMIs is $149 a month, or $133 on three months. Every plan includes clinician support, dose adjustments, syringes and wipes, and free delivery, with no membership fee, and the page promises the same price at every dose. One caution: the semaglutide answer in its help center quotes plans from $198 a month and says the cost depends on your dose, so check the figure at checkout. Under its terms, subscriptions renew automatically, you can cancel any time from your account or by contacting support, and cancellation takes effect after the current period ends. No refund terms are published. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and insurance isn't.
Branded vs compounded
Actin prescribes compounded semaglutide with vitamin B12 and compounded tirzepatide with either B12 or glycine, each as a weekly injection, plus the lower-dose semaglutide microdose plan. Its pages say plainly that it isn't a compounding pharmacy, that a licensed compounding pharmacy dispenses the medication, and that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. It says every batch is third-party tested for potency, sterility, endotoxins and pH, though it doesn't post the certificates. Brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound isn't offered. The weight-loss figures in its help center, such as 15% over 68 weeks for semaglutide, come from trials of the branded drugs rather than compounded versions. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under Actin and Actin Health returned no letters, and the site doesn't display a LegitScript seal.

The evidence behind what Actin prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- What the semaglutide weight-loss trials actually showed
STEP 1, STEP 4, and SELECT — the efficacy, the rebound, and the cardiovascular signal, read straight from the primary literature.
- Tirzepatide vs semaglutide for weight loss: what the trials actually support
Most comparisons are cross-trial. Only SURPASS-2 and SURMOUNT-5 randomized one drug against the other — here's the precise distinction.
- “Microdosing” GLP-1 drugs: a trend, not a protocol — what the evidence says
Sub-therapeutic semaglutide and tirzepatide is spreading fast. The pharmacology is clear, the honest part is clearer: efficacy is dose-related, and no trial has tested intentional microdosing.
