Lumen Meds review
Flat price, read the commitment
A telehealth marketplace selling compounded semaglutide at $114.99 a month and tirzepatide at $191.99 at every dose, through MD Integrations clinicians and a named Florida pharmacy.
Our verdict
Lumen Meds puts a low, flat price on the front page: compounded semaglutide at $114.99 a month and tirzepatide at $191.99, the same at every dose, with the provider visit, medication and next-day cold shipping included and no membership fee. It names who does the work, too: clinicians from the MD Integrations network and a Florida compounding pharmacy, The Pharmacy Hub. The problem is that its own pages disagree about commitment. The FAQ says you can cancel any time with no long-term commitment; the refund policy says weight-loss programs require three months, charges an early-cancellation fee equal to a full month's price, and keeps a $99 administrative fee even if you cancel before the medical intake. That policy also prints the retail price the fee is based on as "$0.00", which leaves the fee amount unclear. Lumen Meds can be good value for someone planning to stay on treatment for at least three months. Ask support in writing which terms apply before you pay.

Lumen Meds LLC describes itself as a marketplace that connects patients with independently licensed healthcare providers through its patient portal; it doesn't dispense medication or provide medical care itself. Its partner page, dated December 8, 2025, names MD Integrations, a Nashville-based telehealth medical network licensed in all 50 states, as its doctor network and The Pharmacy Hub in Miami Gardens, Florida, as its pharmacy partner. Its terms add that you can direct your prescription to a pharmacy of your choice by emailing support before you order. The company lists a mailing address in New Castle, Delaware; its terms apply Georgia law and send disputes to arbitration in San Diego. It sells only compounded GLP-1s for weight loss, doesn't take insurance, and doesn't submit claims to Medicare or any other payer. Support is by email and phone, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern.
How it works
You start with a health quiz the site describes as taking about ten minutes, which tailors your plan and checks eligibility. A licensed provider then reviews your history online, orders labs if needed and decides whether to prescribe. Once a prescription is approved, it goes to the pharmacy, which ships GLP-1 orders by next-business-day delivery in cold packaging, usually within one business day of release; orders aren't processed on weekends or federal holidays. After that, regular check-ins let you adjust the dose with your provider, and the site promises diet and lifestyle coaching, tips for early nausea and optional anti-nausea prescriptions. Shipments go to U.S. addresses only.
Pricing transparency
The homepage lists compounded semaglutide at $114.99 a month and compounded tirzepatide at $191.99 a month, the same price at every dose from the starting dose up to 2.5 mg of semaglutide or 15 mg of tirzepatide. That price includes provider consultations, prescription management, medication and next-day shipping, and the FAQ says there are no hidden or membership fees. Billing is a monthly subscription that renews automatically, and you cancel from your dashboard. The FAQ says you can cancel any time with no long-term commitment. The refund policy says something different: weight-loss programs require a three-month commitment because three months of medication is provided up front, and canceling early triggers a fee equal to a full month's retail price. A cancellation before the medical intake is refunded minus a $99 administrative fee, no refund is given once the intake is completed, and you're refunded in full if the doctor doesn't prescribe. Shipped medication can't be returned.
Branded vs compounded
Providers prescribe compounded semaglutide, formulated with vitamin B12, and compounded tirzepatide, formulated with vitamin B6, as weekly injections. The site states that compounded medications aren't reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness and shouldn't be treated as the same as, or a replacement for, FDA-approved drugs, and it notes that Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Zepbound are made only by Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly. Brand-name drugs aren't offered. The weight-loss percentages on the homepage come from trials of the brand-name drugs, not from its own patients. Medication is filled by The Pharmacy Hub, a 503A compounding pharmacy in Florida. Lumen Meds shows a LegitScript icon that links to LegitScript's search page rather than to a numbered certification. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under the company's name and web address returned no letters.

The evidence behind what Lumen Meds prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- What the semaglutide weight-loss trials actually showed
STEP 1, STEP 4, and SELECT — the efficacy, the rebound, and the cardiovascular signal, read straight from the primary literature.
- Tirzepatide vs semaglutide for weight loss: what the trials actually support
Most comparisons are cross-trial. Only SURPASS-2 and SURMOUNT-5 randomized one drug against the other — here's the precise distinction.
- Compounded vs branded GLP-1: regulatory status, sourcing and the evidence
Compounded GLP-1 isn't FDA-approved, the shortage exception behind it ended in 2025, the FDA moved against mass-marketed copies in 2026, and the trial data belong to the branded product. Here's the precise picture.
