MEDVi review

Low first month, $299 after

Compounded GLP-1 injections and tablets, plus branded Wegovy and Zepbound, from a Delaware telehealth company that is not MEDvidi.

Our verdict

MEDVi gives you a wide menu under one account, and its price drops on the first month only. The compounded injection is $179 for month one and $299 a month after that, so plan your budget on $299. Tablets start at $249, and the branded drugs cost a $99 monthly membership plus a medication price the site does not publish. Three partner pharmacies are named, the clinician networks are identified, and the company's address is on every page. Against it: an FDA warning letter in February 2026 about its labels and "same active ingredient" claims, results claims built on patient self-reports, and a refund policy that closes after the first 72 hours.

What it is

An online weight-loss service run by MEDVi, LLC, a Delaware company based in Newark, Delaware. It is a separate company from MEDvidi, which has a similar name and runs a different visit-fee model. MEDVi sells compounded GLP-1 injections and dissolvable tablets, and arranges branded Wegovy injections, the Wegovy pill and Zepbound injections. Medical care is provided by clinicians of OpenLoop Health and the CareGLP Affiliated P.C.s; MEDVi itself does not prescribe or compound. It claims more than 500,000 patients and lists men's health, women's health, peptides and skincare lines, several of them marked as coming soon. It shows a LegitScript badge in its footer.

How it works

You complete an online evaluation, starting with your weight-loss goal and health history, then check out. An OpenLoop clinician reviews your answers after checkout and decides whether to prescribe; the answers you give can screen you out before that. If you are prescribed, the medication ships from a partner pharmacy to your door, with free expedited delivery. Follow-up runs through a patient portal with unlimited messaging and 24/7 support, and the site says dietitian visits and care coaching from medical assistants and registered dietitians are included, subject to insurance and copay eligibility. Three partner pharmacies are named with addresses: Triad Rx (Daphne, Alabama), RedRock Pharmacy (St. George, Utah) and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding (McKinney, Texas). The terms of service say the service is available only in certain states and that you must contact customer service for the current list.

Pricing transparency

Compounded GLP-1 injections are $179 for your first month and $299 a month for every refill after that, and the FAQ says the $299 refill price is locked in. Compounded tablets are listed as "starting at $249", with no refill price given. Each compounded price includes the physician review, the plan, guidance and the medication, with free shipping and no membership fee. For branded Wegovy (pill or injection) and Zepbound, you pay a $99 monthly membership plus the medication cost, which the site does not publish and which your insurance may or may not reimburse; all MEDVi prescriptions are cash-pay. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. The subscription renews automatically. To stop the next charge, cancel at least 72 hours before your billing date by contacting support or through the portal chat. You get a full refund only if you cancel within the first 72 hours and have received nothing, or if a provider disqualifies you. After that, monthly charges are not refunded; on plans billed two or more months at once, you are refunded for months in which no medication was shipped.

Branded vs compounded

Compounded semaglutide by weekly injection, a compounded once-daily dissolvable tablet, and the branded, FDA-approved Wegovy injection, Wegovy pill and Zepbound. The injection's FAQ calls it the MEDVi semaglutide program; the tablet's active ingredient is not named on the public page, so ask. The disclaimer states that compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy or quality. The trial evidence belongs to the branded drugs, and a dissolvable GLP-1 tablet has no published human absorption data. The site's figures of 18% average weight loss and 93% keeping it off come from MEDVi patients' self-reported weights, not a trial. In February 2026 the FDA issued warning letter 721455 to MEDVi, LLC. It objected to the MEDVi name on pictured vials, which suggested MEDVi compounds the drugs, and to the claims "same active ingredient as Wegovy® and Ozempic®" and "same active ingredient as Mounjaro® and Zepbound®", which the agency said imply FDA approval.

FDA warning letter on record

The FDA issued a warning letter naming MEDVi, LLC dba MEDVi, the company behind MEDVi.

We publish this because it is a matter of public record and a reader weighing this provider should have it. A warning letter is the FDA setting out alleged violations; it is not a court finding, and a company may have responded or corrected since. It does not remove MEDVi from this site, and it does not change our verdict — read the letter and decide for yourself.

Access & cost

How we assessed this. This review reflects Aminoscope’s own read of MEDVi’s publicly-stated model — pricing transparency, clinical oversight, medication clarity, and access — against our editorial methodology. Frequently asked

How much does MEDVi cost after the first month?
The compounded GLP-1 injection is $179 for the first month and $299 a month for each refill after that. Compounded tablets start at $249. Branded Wegovy and Zepbound cost a $99 monthly membership plus the medication, which is priced separately and not listed on the site.
Is MEDVi the same company as MEDvidi?
No. MEDVi is run by MEDVi, LLC of Newark, Delaware, and sells GLP-1 programs with the medication included. MEDvidi is a separate telehealth company with a different model and pricing. Check which one you are signing up with before you pay.
Has MEDVi received an FDA warning letter?
Yes. The FDA issued warning letter 721455 to MEDVi, LLC on February 20, 2026. It said the MEDVi name on pictured vials implied MEDVi compounds the drugs, and that claiming the products had the "same active ingredient" as Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Zepbound implied FDA approval. The letter concerns marketing claims rather than a test of the medication.
Can I get a refund from MEDVi?
Only in narrow cases: if you cancel within the first 72 hours and have received no services, or if a provider disqualifies you for a medical reason. Monthly charges are otherwise not refunded. On plans billed two or more months at a time, you are refunded for months in which no medication was shipped.
Which states does MEDVi serve?
Its terms say the service is available in certain states only and that the current list is available from customer service. Ask before you complete the evaluation.
Is MEDVi legit?
FDA has a warning letter on record against MEDVi, LLC dba MEDVi, the company behind MEDVi, issued February 20, 2026 as letter 721455; it is linked further down this page. A warning letter is a public record worth reading. It doesn't by itself mean you can't use this provider. MEDVi is a GLP-1 telehealth service you reach through an online questionnaire and an online intake a clinician reviews. The medications it names are Semaglutide, an oral form and branded medication. What it publishes up front: Compounded injection $179 first month, then $299/mo; tablets from $249; branded via $99/mo membership + medication. It is cash-pay and states it does not bill insurance. Before you pay, ask in writing about which states it serves and a single monthly price you can check before an intake.
