Unique Physique review

By Nadia Feldman · Aminoscope

Clinic roots, specific deadlines

Our verdict

Unique Physique offers an identifiable clinic and detailed refill rules, but its $159 and $289 program cards do not clearly name the corresponding drug. Confirm consultation charges, pharmacy and delivery arrangements. Four states are excluded and Baton Rouge metro patients must collect medication locally.

Main trade-offs

  • Current program cards do not clearly name the corresponding drug
  • Four states excluded from online service

Our review in detail

Full assessment

Unique Physique has the advantages and complications of a clinic-based service rather than a simple national online storefront. It names Reena John, DO, as the physician overseeing medical care, offers telemedicine consultations, and publishes $159 Essential and $289 Premium monthly programs. However, the current pricing cards do not clearly identify which molecule belongs to each program, so those amounts should not be assigned to semaglutide or tirzepatide without confirmation. The clinic’s detailed service rules address auto-renewals, cancellation deadlines, restarting care and brand-name prescriptions. Residents of Alaska, California, Kansas and Wisconsin are excluded by the online pricing page, while Baton Rouge metro patients are told to collect medication in the office. It is worth considering for patients who want an identifiable practice, but only after confirming the actual drug, consultation cost, dispensing pharmacy and pickup or delivery arrangement.

What it is

Unique Physique is a medical practice based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a physical clinic address and published weekday office hours. The website says medical supervision and oversight are under Reena John, DO, and that patient consultations are provided by clinicians licensed in the patient’s state. Its services include telemedicine weight management as well as a separate wellness menu. This is a materially different model from a platform that only handles marketing and connects patients to an unnamed practice. Even so, a named supervising physician does not establish which clinician will see a particular patient or which pharmacy will dispense the prescription. The online pricing page excludes Alaska, California, Kansas and Wisconsin, so it should not be described as unrestricted nationwide care. It also says Baton Rouge metro patients must still pick up in the office. Someone expecting medication shipped to every home should resolve that local rule before booking.

How care works

A consultation with a licensed clinician is required before prescription treatment. The practice says the clinician evaluates the patient’s history and determines whether a prescription, including a brand-name medicine, is appropriate. Refill ordering is organized through patient accounts and auto-renewal, rather than guaranteed medication after a one-time purchase. The service rules encourage patients to keep the account and renewal information current and impose a $25 convenience fee for manual orders submitted by phone or text. Cancellation requires an account request before 5 p.m. Central on the day before billing. The site also publishes rules for patients restarting treatment, but separate passages use different time references and fee descriptions. A patient returning after a break should ask the clinic for the applicable consultation requirement and restart charge instead of relying on one isolated line. Changes in treatment or a gap in medication may require a new clinical decision, not simply restoring the prior order.

Costs, billing and cancellation

The current online cards list an Essential Program at $159 for one month, described as covering doses up to 2.5 mg, and a Premium Program at $289 for one month, described as covering all injectable doses. Neither card names the drug clearly enough to quote these as verified molecule-specific prices. Both say there are no contracts but that auto-renewal is set up for refills unless a change is requested. Ask whether the initial telemedicine consultation is included or charged separately. If a clinician recommends a brand-name prescription, the service rules list a separate $25 monthly fee to send the prescription to the patient’s chosen pharmacy; the patient must contact the clinic monthly for that refill. The medicine itself is then a pharmacy expense. The practice says correctly ordered medication is not refundable or exchangeable, and pharmacy orders cannot be retracted after 48 hours. Where a pharmacy can intercept an earlier order, the policy allows withholding up to 25 percent of the medication cost. Canceled treatment, an injection-site reaction or unused medication does not automatically create a refund entitlement. The rules also distinguish four-week supplies from calendar-month language and discuss 28-day periods after vial puncture. Follow the dispensing pharmacy’s actual label and beyond-use date rather than assuming a vial can be saved for a longer maintenance schedule.

Medication and evidence

The service rules discuss patient-specific compounding and a separate route for brand-name prescriptions. They say a clinician will consider whether a brand-name weight medicine is suitable and will assess patient-specific needs before a compounded preparation. The pricing cards’ dose descriptions alone do not reliably establish the molecule or formulation in each package, so this review does not label the $159 and $289 offers as a particular drug. Before buying, request the generic ingredient, strength, total quantity, route and named pharmacy. Compounded prescriptions are not FDA-approved finished products and should not be treated as interchangeable with a brand. The wellness pricing page separately lists NAD+ injections and lipotropic combinations, each with its own supply and storage conditions. These are not included automatically in a weight-management plan and should not be taken as proven weight-loss or longevity treatments because they appear on the same menu. The clinic explicitly tells patients not to copy injection instructions from other patients, photographs or other clinics; the individualized prescription and label control.
