Our verdict
Neither supports the systemic tissue-repair use it is marketed for. GHK-Cu's human evidence is limited to small cosmetic studies of topical copper-peptide creams; its regenerative and gene-expression findings are in vitro and animal work, and the injected form has no human efficacy trials or established dosing. Thymosin beta-4 does have randomized human data, but it comes from Phase 2 trials of an ophthalmic solution for severe dry eye, not from the injectable TB-500 sold for muscle and tendon recovery, which has no published human efficacy trials, no established dose, and is prohibited in sport by the World Anti-Doping Agency. They have not been compared directly, and neither is an approved drug.
GHK-Cu fits if
Someone whose actual goal is skin, where the topical route is the lowest-risk lane and the modest cosmetic evidence at least matches the use.
TB-500 fits if
Someone interested in actin-sequestering repair biology or the ophthalmology program specifically, and who does not mistake that eye-drop trial for the vial sold for recovery.
