Lovely Meds review
Wide menu, strict refunds
An online prescription platform selling compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide in injection and needle-free forms, plus brand-name GLP-1s, at prices that don't change with the dose.
Our verdict
Lovely Meds puts a wide GLP-1 menu on one platform. You can choose compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide as a weekly injection, as drops, a troche or a dissolving tablet, a microdose plan, or brand-name Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic, the Wegovy pill or Foundayo, all reviewed by clinicians from Beluga Health. Compounded prices are set by plan length rather than dose: semaglutide runs from $175 for one month to $99 a month on a 12-month plan, and tirzepatide from $235 to $150. The weak spots are the fine print and the record. Orders become final as soon as the prescription reaches the pharmacy, canceling even before review costs $40, and multi-month refunds are recalculated at the single-month price. FDA sent the company a warning letter in September 2025 over website claims that its compounded drugs had the same active ingredient as Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro. It suits a buyer who knows which format they want and is ready to commit to an order.

Lovely Meds is run by Lovely Meds, Inc., which describes itself as a technology platform for ordering prescription products online rather than a medical provider. Clinical reviews and prescribing are done by licensed providers affiliated with Beluga Health, P.A. and its affiliated medical groups, and medication is prepared by independent state-licensed US compounding pharmacies, or comes from the manufacturer's pharmacy for brand-name products such as the Wegovy pill. Beyond weight loss, it sells testosterone and enclomiphene, hair-loss treatments, erectile-dysfunction medication, sermorelin, NAD⁺, glutathione, methylene blue and lipotropic shots. It says it has served more than 15,000 customers. It doesn't bill insurance, though HSA and FSA funds may apply, and a buy-now-pay-later option is offered at checkout. Support is by email or phone on weekdays, Eastern time. Its terms are governed by Delaware law, with disputes going to arbitration.
How it works
You fill in an online health form the site says takes about two minutes, covering your history, medications, allergies and goals. A licensed clinician reviews it, usually within one business day, may ask follow-up questions, and prescribes only if treatment looks safe and appropriate; a prescription isn't guaranteed. The review is included in the order price rather than billed separately. If you're approved, the pharmacy prepares the medication and ships it in plain packaging, with tracking once it's dispatched, and charges don't name the product on your statement. Compounded injections come as multidose vials with syringes, and new patients start on a low introductory dose that's raised gradually. The site doesn't describe scheduled follow-up visits or a dedicated messaging service, so ask how dose changes and refills are handled before you order. It isn't a substitute for primary care, and it says so.
Pricing transparency
Compounded semaglutide with B12 is $175 for a one-month plan, $145 a month on three months, $120 on six and $99 on 12. Compounded tirzepatide with B12 is $235, $199, $175 and $150 on the same plans. The product pages say every dose costs the same, so your price doesn't rise as you titrate, and list first-month discounts applied at checkout plus a new-customer code; ignore those when comparing the ongoing cost. The same pages' FAQ says pricing varies by strength and formulation, so confirm the total at checkout. The Wegovy pill starts at $299 a month. Refunds are limited. Canceling before the clinician review begins costs a $40 administrative fee; once the prescription has been sent to the pharmacy, the order can't be canceled, and nothing can be returned or refunded after it ships, apart from a replacement for damage. On multi-month packs, you can get a refund for packs that haven't shipped, but the shipped ones are repriced at the single-month rate and a 10% fee is taken off.
Branded vs compounded
Lovely Meds sells compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, each combined with vitamin B12, as weekly injections, and needle-free compounded versions as oral drops, troches and dissolving tablets, plus a microdosing protocol. It also offers brand-name Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic injections, and the Wegovy pill and Foundayo tablets. Its pages state that compounded medications are not FDA-approved and haven't been evaluated for safety, effectiveness or quality, and that its oral compounded versions aren't FDA-approved either. It says partner pharmacies test batches for sterility, endotoxins, pH and potency. The site displays a LegitScript certification seal. In September 2025, FDA issued Lovely Meds a warning letter after reviewing its website, saying claims that its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide had the "same active ingredient" as Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro implied they were the same as FDA-approved drugs, which made the products misbranded. The letter is linked below.
FDA warning letter on record
The FDA issued a warning letter naming Lovely Meds, Inc. dba Lovely Meds, the company behind Lovely Meds.
- Letter 716829, issued September 9, 2025 — read it on fda.gov
We publish this because it is a matter of public record and a reader weighing this provider should have it. A warning letter is the FDA setting out alleged violations; it is not a court finding, and a company may have responded or corrected since. It does not remove Lovely Meds from this site, and it does not change our verdict — read the letter and decide for yourself.

The evidence behind what Lovely Meds prescribes
We grade the molecules, not the marketing. Here is what the human data actually shows for each thing on their menu.
- What the semaglutide weight-loss trials actually showed
STEP 1, STEP 4, and SELECT — the efficacy, the rebound, and the cardiovascular signal, read straight from the primary literature.
- Tirzepatide vs semaglutide for weight loss: what the trials actually support
Most comparisons are cross-trial. Only SURPASS-2 and SURMOUNT-5 randomized one drug against the other — here's the precise distinction.
- Compounded vs branded GLP-1: regulatory status, sourcing and the evidence
Compounded GLP-1 isn't FDA-approved, the shortage exception behind it ended in 2025, the FDA moved against mass-marketed copies in 2026, and the trial data belong to the branded product. Here's the precise picture.
- Oral tirzepatide: the honest status of a pill that does not exist yet
There is no FDA-approved oral tirzepatide. Here is why an oral peptide is hard, what the 'oral tirzepatide' sold online really is, and the oral incretins that actually exist.
- “Microdosing” GLP-1 drugs: a trend, not a protocol. What the evidence says
Sub-therapeutic semaglutide and tirzepatide is spreading fast. The pharmacology is clear, the honest part is clearer: efficacy is dose-related, and no trial has tested intentional microdosing.
