GHRP-2 vs Sermorelin
Two different doors to the same growth-hormone pulse, a ghrelin-receptor agonist versus a GHRH analog. The gap that matters is selectivity and regulatory standing.
GHRP-2
Pralmorelin
Genuinely raises GH (and is an approved diagnostic in Japan), but the same dose lifts cortisol, prolactin and appetite, and desensitizes — no anti-aging outcomes.

Geref
A former FDA-approved GHRH analog (now compounded); real GH-axis data, no anti-aging outcome evidence.

Our verdict
Sermorelin is the better-grounded of the two. It is a GHRH analog with a documented clinical record in the diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic growth-hormone deficiency in children; the branded injectable was later discontinued for commercial reasons and it is now supplied largely through compounding pharmacies, which makes it a clinician's decision rather than a self-directed one. Its longevity use is still weak, resting on biomarker effects and a few targeted trials rather than healthspan outcomes. GHRP-2 works through the ghrelin receptor instead, is an approved diagnostic agent in Japan and not FDA-approved for body composition or anti-aging, and its GH pulse comes bundled: the same dose raises cortisol, ACTH and prolactin and increases appetite, the response attenuates with repeated dosing, and a five-day course in healthy men did not raise IGF-1. They have not been compared directly for any body-composition endpoint, and neither has outcome data for muscle or aging.
GHRP-2 fits if
GHRP-2 matters mainly to the reader who wants to understand a validated short-term probe of pituitary GH secretion, and why that diagnostic legitimacy does not transfer to daily use.
Sermorelin fits if
Sermorelin is the more relevant molecule for someone weighing a GHRH analog with an actual clinical history through a legitimate prescriber, provided the anti-aging claims are read as unproven.
