Lavender Sky Health review

Pick your pharmacy, pay per consult

A physician-owned practice that lets you choose among 13 compounding pharmacies, publishes every plan price by pharmacy and dose, and charges per consult with no membership.

Our verdict

Lavender Sky Health takes the opposite approach to most subscription GLP-1 services. Instead of one bundled monthly price, it publishes a long price list by pharmacy, formulation, dose and supply length, lets you pick the pharmacy, and charges a flat fee per consult: $65 to start and $40 for follow-ups, which come due only every six months. For a patient who's willing to read the tables, that can work out cheaper than a bundled program, with compounded semaglutide from $139 for a one-month starter supply or about $195 for eight to ten weeks. It also covers brand-name drugs and oral options, and you can stay on maintenance dosing. The trade-offs are real: no insurance help or prior authorizations, a consult fee you pay whether or not you're prescribed, and pharmacy orders that typically can't be canceled once paid. Choose this if you want control over the details; skip it if you want one simple price.

What it is

Lavender Sky Health, LLC is a physician- and female-owned telehealth practice based in Charleston, South Carolina. Its founder, Dr. Eubanks, describes starting it during residency after struggling to afford GLP-1 treatment herself, and says many of its staff began as patients. It says it has served more than 110,000 patients and treats people in all 50 states and D.C. through physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants licensed across the country. Its distinguishing feature is pharmacy choice: 13 partner compounding pharmacies, including ReviveRx, Southend, Hallandale, Strive, Empower and Nova through AbsoluteRx, each with its own formulations, plan sizes and shipping states, which you can compare in a decision aid. Beyond weight loss, it offers vitamin and amino acid boosters, glutathione, NAD⁺, sermorelin, aesthetic creams and at-home lab kits. Support is by email and voicemail, monitored seven days a week, with replies averaging under 24 hours.

How it works

You create an account, complete an intake and choose a consult type: an e-consult handled through portal messages, available in eligible states, or a live phone or video consult. For e-consults, a provider reviews your case within three business days of payment. Your provider builds a plan, sends the prescription to the pharmacy you picked or, for some drugs, to a local pharmacy, and the medication ships with tracking, usually within two to ten business days. Bloodwork isn't required, though at-home lab kits are offered. Between consults you can message your care team through the portal and request refills with a form. Follow-up consults are due every six months on an active plan and every 12 months on maintenance dosing, with earlier check-ins when you're starting a GLP-1. If you're already on a GLP-1, you can continue at your current dose with documentation of your prior prescription. Emergencies and same-day concerns are referred to in-person care.

Pricing transparency

There are no memberships or recurring charges. A new-patient consult is $65 and a follow-up is $40, and refills between required follow-ups carry no consult fee. Compounded plans include the medication, shipping and supplies, and are priced by pharmacy and dose. Semaglutide one-month plans start at $139 (Southend) and eight-to-ten-week plans at about $195 (ReviveRx); tirzepatide one-month plans start at $149 (ReviveRx) and eight-to-ten-week plans at $195 (Southend), rising with dose and pharmacy to several hundred dollars. Multi-week and extended plans are paid upfront. Sublingual semaglutide and tirzepatide tablets run from $295 for 60 days. Brand-name drugs are on a $25-a-month plan with the medication bought separately; it lists the Wegovy pill from $149 a month plus that fee. Consult fees aren't refunded once an e-consult is submitted, pharmacy orders typically can't be canceled or refunded once paid, and a pharmacy price change after you've paid isn't credited. HSA and FSA cards are accepted; insurance isn't billed.

Branded vs compounded

Lavender Sky prescribes compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide injections, many with an added ingredient such as B6, B12, glycine, niacinamide or levocarnitine depending on the pharmacy, plus sublingual semaglutide and tirzepatide and dissolving tirzepatide tablets. It states clearly that compounded medications are not FDA-approved or regulated and that availability can change. For brand-name treatment, its providers prescribe Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic and Saxenda injections, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo, filled through your pharmacy or the manufacturers' direct programs. It doesn't do prior authorizations, so insurance coverage of a brand-name drug is up to you and your insurer. Non-GLP-1 oral options include naltrexone and combinations with bupropion or topiramate. No LegitScript seal appears on its site. A search of the FDA warning-letter database under the company's name and web address returned no letters.
